My, my, my - I'm still telling my friends and family about just how incredible my flounder trip was with you! Not everyone is familiar with the way flounder are caught, I mean gigged! I learned so much with you and you have such a pleasant personality. We went out last night with Capt Joe as the final event of a loaded fishing weekend. Hands down, this was the best event of the weekend. Capt Joe was polite, patient, and organized, and most importantly he PUT US ON THE FISH!

We all limited out thanks to his knowledge of the flats and help spotting flounder. The water was wind blown and clarity was so-so, but he’s got an eagle eye for flounder in the sand and was able to spot for us.

At the end of the night we had 20 flounder to clean and despite the fact that it was 1:45 AM, he patiently taught us how to clean the fish and indulged us when we asked to help move the process along and clean filets. I’m really excited to come back again soon— thank you Joe!

Captain Joe was wonderful. Kept in contact before trip.. arrived on time.. was very knowledgeable and gave great information and instructions. Was great with teaching our 2 teenager boys what to do. Got us on great fish! And really took the time to fillet and clean our fish properly. Was an amazing trip. Also got the bonus of some dolphin watching! Which I enjoyed as much as the fishing. We had the best time. Gigging is not boring and you are literally busy the entire time looking and being ready. Captain Joe was knowledgeable, patient and just a great guy to be on a boat for 6 hours. He was happy to be on the water with us as well. Me and my two sons had the best fishing experience ever with Captain Joe. This was our first trip gigging for flounder. We almost got our limit and even got a couple of sheepshead. Joe was kind, helpful, patient, and gave great fishing advice. His boat was set up perfect for night gigging. My 2 sons had a blast. Joe cleaned all our fish and even gave suggestions on how to soak the blood out of the fillets and store and prepare them. He went way out of his way to be kind and helpful. The fish were excellent eating too! He was very professional, checked our licenses and made sure we had enough life jackets on board. I would highly recommend Captain Joe for night gigging. We will do it again when we come back to Port Aransas for fishing.

I’ve been gigging several times in the past. This was the first time for my wife and two teen daughters. I arranged this with fishing booker and i was pleasantly surprised. We had originally arranged this for a Tuesday outing but as I was watching the weather report, I noticed the winds were going to be kicking up. Capt, Joe was thinking the same thing because I got a call from him right then too. We moved it up to a Monday night. What a great night we had. I appreciated that we didn’t spend the whole night traveling out to the area to fish. In fact, we were fishing within a 1/2 hour. Overall, we caught 15 flounder and the girls want to go back out again. Joe is a pro and he knew we needed to keep up the excitement. He cleaned them for us and gave us bags of flounder fillets. Fried them up the other night… WOW… amazing. Thanks Joe.
