CAPT. JOE'S FISHING REPORT:
January 16, 2014:
Fishing report for December 2013.
Fantastic would describe it. The first night after the November ban
I had 40 fish total 20 flounder 16 sheepshead 4 drum I was done in
one hour and 15 minutes. The next 4-5 nights 20 to 25 fish total
each night the amounts went steadily down do to the amount of
flounder boats everywhere. As the month went by amounts were steady
lots of sheepshead and drum flounder were big not high in numbers I
think the majority moved out during the November ban and a lot of
them went through Packery channel do to horrible water conditions
north of Packery dead grass in cuts flats and everywhere . The tides
aren't moving the dead grass out there's not enough cuts OPEN to the
gulf north of Packery. Thanks to my clients for a wonderful year.
