CAPT. JOE'S
FISHING REPORTS - May 16, 2012
Very windy month not uncommon for this
time of the year. Early in the month did well on reds fishing on the
bottom shrimp and cut bait after dark. For the last 3 weeks they
have been bighting before the son comes up and 2 to 3 hours after
sunrise. Floundering is still good getting a limit with 3 fish over
21 inches and the rest 16 to 17 inches. Sheepshead are 16 to 18
inches getting a few. Getting a few drum 18 to 22 inches. That's a
normal trip. High winds I get a limit of flounder and their smaller
16 to 17 inch. Before I close...
I WOULD LIKE TO SUGGEST THAT YOU BOOK
EARLY FOR BIG FLOUNDER LAST 2 WEEKS OF OCTOBER AND THE FIRST 2 WEEKS
OF DECEMBER NOT 100 PERCENT. EVERY YEAR THAT'S THE BIGGEST .
Thank you,
Capt. Joe
